Ever since Bagaholic Babe saw these Marc Jacobs beauties during his Spring/Summer 2008 Fashion Week show, I've been obsessed with these beauties! And now, it's finally available in stores! Yay! How could you not love them, just take a look at the photos below and you'll see why I'm a fan...

The Marc Jacobs 'Rana' pouch is made of unstructured kangaroo leather with a goldtone frog embellished detail on the front, with bejewelled eyes to boot! I know that Fall/Winter Collections are out, and that this is from Marc Jacobs' Spring/Summer collection, but please bear with me. I am just IN LOVE with these beauties! Available in shades of flourescent colours such as Acid Yellow, Bright Orange and Candy Pink, this pouch can also be used as a clutch or wristlet. Just loop it through your wrist and you can have your hands free for the rest of the evening! What's more, it's not just an evening piece. IMHO, you can you it on your day out, on a date or even for lunching with your gal pals! Absolutely LOVE all the colours! If you love it as much as I do, you can get it for just $795 (it's a steal innit for a MJ piece?) via Nordstrom or your nearest MJ stockist or boutique.

Leather Totes That Spell Style |
Brand's Latest Bags Also Available In Denim Canvas
FASHIONISTAS, rejoice! Coach, one of the international leading brands in handbags, has come up with a new line of handbags for spring, with emphasis on high quality crinkled patent leather, tumbled pebbled leather and denim canvas.
The brand, famous for its floral totes has come up with straw totes, perfect to complement your look in the spring mood.
Under the Bleecker Collection, the line features burnished accessories with a distinct vintage feel. Also in the same line is the Bleecker Denim Canvas Floral Tote, which is inspired by the feel of a leather shop from the 70's.
Unique: The Bleecker Denim Canvas Floral Large Tote
Still playing with straw material, for those who like to have one-of-a-kind item, there is the limited edition Bleecker Straw Millie XL Hobo that features Coach's iconic dog leash closure.
One of a kind: Bleecker Straw Millie XL Hobo Bag
The main highlight in the spring collection is leather, as used for Legacy Thompson Collection and Soho Collection.
The Legacy Thompson bag that comes in rich natural leather is adorned with a floral appliqué and accented with antique brass hardware.
Meanwhile, Soho Leather Satchel has detailed shoulder straps and buckles that give the bag a vintage feel. Clean lines and a relaxed look showcase the softness of the leather.
With brass hardware, the bag comes in rich white for this season.
It is clear that natural shades is the main colour for this season, as evident with the Ergo Collection, featuring Ergo Pleated Hobo and Ergo Pleated Tote. Both styles offer delicately pleated leather and come in a rich palette of natural, white, burnt orange and black.
Not to be subdued by the natural shades that are dominant this spring, Coach also has the Leather Madison Clutch from Madison Collection that gives a splash of standout colours such as fuchsia, teal, gold and black. The clutches are adorned with turn-lock closure.
To complete the spring look, also available is the Jewellery Collection. For this season, the collection expands to include elegant pieces in Resin and poured glass. Necklaces, rings, bangles and earrings are offered in combinations of white and gold.
The new Coach's Spring 2008 Collection will be available at all Coach stores nationwide in April.

Dior Jazzclub S/S '08 |
If you haven't visited the Dior flagship stores of late, let me introduce you the new Jazzclub collection from their Spring/Summer collection that's simply to die for.
A collection that ties together with an engraved metal loop and toggle on every handbag, pouch and wallet, the items come in black and white leather and animal prints.

I would personally recommend the zebra print and the white leather handbag with chain straps although I must say, it can be difficult to maintain the white leather. Nonetheless, they're not to be missed together with the other Jazzclub pouches and wallets I've featured below.

Check them out together with the other accessories from their other collections at the Dior official website.

Splurge of the Week |
This week's Splurge of the Week features a new bag from Gucci's Spring/Summer 2008 Collection. I'm usually not so much of a Gucci fan, but this one's a whole different story. This bag is Very Un-Gucci-esque in the sense of its unstructured, rather slouchy shape.
Presenting to you, today's Splurge, the 'Hysteria' Python Bag from Gucci's Spring/Summer 2008 Collection.
Hysteria Python Bag (Medium Size)
This medium sized top handled bag comes in black python with a detachable shoulder strap so that you can wear it crossbody style should you get tired of lugging your stuff in your arm. Well, crossbody is definitely more convenient, especially when you need both hands free to do your shopping, but Bagaholic Babe is more of a 'arm' style kinda gal.
However, this item is not available in California due to state laws on python products. If you don't like this bag in Python, and for those of you residing in California, this Hysteria Bag in Medium size also comes in Black patent. Actually, I much prefer the one in Patent, but I thought I'd feature the one in Python since it's our regular 'Splurge' of the Week post as the Patent doesn't really warrant itself as a 'splurge' per se. If you like this bag, it's available via Saks for $3,990. The Patent one is going for $1,790. Click Here to view the Patent Version of the Hysteria Bag by Gucci.

Beautiful Jimmy Choo Suede Shoulder Bag from S/S '08 |
My heart literally skipped a beat when I first laid eyes upon this beautiful Jimmy Choo Suede Shoulder Bag from the new Spring/Summer 2008 Collection...especially the Magenta coloured one (shown below). I got even more excited when I saw the price tag attached to the bag. No, it isn't what you think! In fact, it's certainly a Jimmy Choo bag with a very affordable price tag. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it because Jimmy Choo bags never came that cheap! Plus, the way this bag looks, you'd think that it would've cost much more!! Yep, suede does always tend to have a more 'expensive' look, don't ya'll think? Though maintenence can be quite a hassle.
Take a look at Jimmy Choo's latest Suede Shoulder bag from the Spring/Summer 2008 Collection. However, if you're looking for a perfect day bag then I'm sorry this isn't it. This Suede shoulder bag is perhaps more suited to Evening occasions and perfect for cocktail parties...
Jimmy Choo Suede Shoulder Bag in Magenta
Jimmy Choo Suede Shoulder Bag in Navy
Interior View
Available in either Magenta or Navy, this suede shoulder bag comes with a detachable chain strap (so that you can use it as a clutch too!) with watersnake trims and details. Of course, without question, Bagaholic Babe loves the one in Magenta, as it's just so bold and vibrant, and would surely make its owner stand out in a crowd amidst the regular bejewelled Juith Leiber clutches and conventional satin or frame clutches. For just $995, (told you it was cheap for a Jimmy Choo!!), it's the perfect accent piece to liven up your cocktail dress! Available via Saks

New Prada Cervo Pleat Tote |

Cervo Pleat Tote
New from Prada's Spring/Summer 2008 Collection is the Cervo Pleat Tote. Available either in Coral or Talc (White) Calfskin, this tote has a pleated front with top handle chain link embellishments and comes with a hanging calfskin ID tag. I don't know about you fellow BagAddicts out there, but although Bagaholic Babe has always been a fan of White bags with gold hardware, somehow this time around, I much prefer the bag in Coral. Perhaps it's because the Gold Hardware brings out the coral colour even more. Plus, Coral is a much more vibrant and refreshing colour for the Spring/Summer season, don't you think? This Cervo Pleat Tote is available for $1,195 via Neiman Marcus

Bagaholic Babe's Favourite Miu Miu of the Season |
Happy New Year!!
Ah, it's the first day of 2008 and to kick start the New Year, Bagaholic Babe has chosen something bright, and colourful for today's post. Yes, this particular bag is also Bagaholic Babe's current favourite bag after having seen it at the Miu Miu Boutique in Hong Kong recently.
.jpg)
From Miu Miu's Spring/Summer 2008 Collection, is this small shoulder bag by Miu Miu. Small size it may be, but it's incredibly cute! This buttery soft shoulder bag is THE ultimate slouchy shoulder bag. Available in 3 colours - Turquiose (shown), Fuschia and Metallic Gold, this Miu Miu bag comes with a lock (at the front clasp) and an attached key so that you can keep your valuables safe while toting this super girly bag around. Bagaholic Babe absolutely adores this bag in Fuschia and Turquoise. Available via Net-a-Porter for just £369.79, it's definitely a small price to pay for this Miu Miu beauty.
Get it now or you'll really regret it... and no, Bagaholic Babe isn't just saying this because I'm promoting this bag, but rather, because I totally regret not getting it after seeing it at the HK boutique...sigh and Miu Miu isn't yet available in Malaysia. Darn.

Hot off the Runway!! -- Prada Satin Rose Clutch |
For Fall/Winter this year, Prada's bags and accessories had bow themes. Come Spring/Summer 2008, whether it's nylon, leather or satin, or ready-to-wear, Prada's theme seems to be roses, flowers and rosette details. If you haven't already got a nice looking clutch to party in for New Years, you can get this new Satin Rose Clutch from Prada's S/S '08 Collection, as seen on the runways during the Fashion Week Spring/Summer shows.
This hot-off-the-runway clutch is available in either natural (dark gold, shown) or black satin with rosette details and pleated front. Bagaholic Babe loves it in this natural colour because of the contrasting and interesting colour combinations, whereas the black version of this clutch is in solid black, including the Rosettes. So, in Bagaholic Babe's opinion, the black looks really boring. Available via Bergdorf Goodman for $695, Party away in style this New Years!
Note: Selected items from The Rosette collection is also available at the Prada Boutique at Suria KLCC.

Presenting: Chanel's New Ankle Bag, Hot off the Runway!! |

Hot off the runway, is this new fad, the Ankle Bag! Seen on Chanel's the Spring/Summer 2008 runway at Fashion Week recently, this ankle bag is a novelty indeed! I've never seen any designer do an ankle bag before. The trend is quickly spreading like wildfire in the Celebrity circuit. Rumour has it that ankle bags was a trend fueled by celebs on House Arrest, who used this sort of ankle bag to hide their House Arrest detector thing-a-ma-jig. Very clever indeed, don't you think?
However, Bagaholic Babe isn't a fan of it though.
Do you think that this trend will catch on? Tell us what YOU think!!

Presenting Fashion Week: Pucci S/S '08 |
This summer, Pucci is all out to make a shift from it's Italian island paradise that largely represents its longstanding Pucci brand name to a different path. Although its signature colorful designs still remain, however, the selection of colors are beginning to look like it came from the Navajo country. Its triangular patchwork in multi-color, weaved trimmings and colorful stringed details make up this coming season's Pucci collection.

From the looks of it, Matthew Williamson is terribly confused here. He's totally forgotten that he's designing for Pucci. Therefore, he's confused himself by designing the Pucci line to look like his signature line. What a mistake!

'It' Bag List - Paris Fashion Week S/S '08 |
As always, alongside the New York and Milan Fashion Week, I present you the 'It' bag list for Paris Fashion Week S/S '08 collection. This coming season, you'll notice colors - lots of colors. Colors are in.. and so is leather. Exotic Leather. Paris's S/S '08 collection spots items that goes spectacularly well with your LBD because of its strong (and most often than not, solid) colors.

Take the 'Hand-painted Clutch' by VBH, for example. It's so colorful, it can be a standalone - minus the accessories and it's enough to take other's breath away.
And what about the 'Graphic Clutch' from Christian Dior? It's luxurious ponyskin as well as it's unique design gives others the idea that there is none like it. Definitely an accessory to carry on a dinner date. Be the envy of others while your beau serenades you.

'It' Bag List - Milan Fashion Week S/S '08 |
Yes, Fashion Week ended a couple of weeks ago, so Here's the Bag 'It List' Roundup from Milan Fashion Week, Spring/Summer 2008. You'll notice that Artsy and Printed Bags and Exotic bags primarily make up the 'It Bag' List from Milan's Fashion Week.
Bottega Veneta - Embroidered Satchel
Burberry Prorsum - Drawstring Bag in Croc
Dolce & Gabanna - Structured Croc Bag
Fendi - Decorated Oversized Clutch
Prada - Artsy Fantasy themed Printed Bag
Hmm, don't you think the faces on the flowers look like those Cabbage Patch dolls we used to play with when we were little girls?
Valextra - Slim Croc Shoulder Bag
Tods - Punk Rock Clutch in Python

Presenting Fashion Week: Marni S/S '08 |
On Marni this coming season is a shift in color - from the more natural forest-y, watery greens to a mix of bright colors such as purple and the more woody, earth-y tones like grays, browns and mustard and sometimes even a short blast of flourescent orange somewhere in the middle.
Their bag collection in Spring 2008 will complement the garments. Most of 'em if not all are of solid natural tones.. still maintaining the current favorite patent leather. Overall, I must say.. A lot of leather - patent and buttery soft leather, framed bags, foldover snap closure bags. See for yourself what I'm talking about..

And now, for the verdict:
Overall, a beautiful collection if compared to so many others I've seen. I particularly love the foldover framed totes. What about you? Share with us your thoughts and comments on the collection by clicking the button below.

Presenting: Fashion Week: Valentino S/S '08 |
Presenting: Paris Fashion Week: Valentino Sping/Summer Collection 2008
With the exception of a few new additions to Valentino's Handbag Collection, most of the bags from the Spring/Summer 2008 Collection seem to be bags that are already a part of Valentino's 2007 collection - best sellers such as the Lacca Bow Shopper and Bow Clutches cum Wristlests . The only difference is that instead of Patent leather like we saw last season, it's now available in Metallic Gold and Pink (Lacca Bow Shopper) and in Metallic Silver Python for the Clutch/Wristlet. Again, as with most of the other designers, there is use of Exotic Skins, Crocodile being a favourite amongst designers, and the whole patchwork of bright colours.

The Verdict:Valentino's usually classy designs have become unusually garish in his Spring/Summer Collection for 2008. Bagaholic Babe has always been a fan of Valentino, and yes, especially his Lacca Bow Shopper, but the Metallic Gold and Pink somehow makes the bag look like designer knockoffs instead. The one in Patent from F/W 2007 looks so much more chic. The multicoloured Croc Bags are even more of an eyesore. Overall, Bagaholic Babe rates the entire collection as a 'Nay!'
