The Verdict : Judging from the pics above, Fendi's F/W 09 collection seems to be like 2 distinct separate collections: One is the spillover from last season albeit in slightly smaller sizes this season, in all shades of grey and black (and some metallics); the other a new mod architectural-esque like contrasting colour block clutches (with a shoulder strap that can be tucked into the bag) with turnlock closure and black topstitchingin a much brighter colour palette compared to the greys and blacks. Oh and of course, just like Valentino's signature red dress in every collection, no Fendi F/W collection is complete without fur, hence the odd fur bag that doesn't really seem to fit in with the rest of the collection...
Bagaholic Babe is loving the new clutches! It's good to be bright during the Fall/Winter season amongst a sea of blacks, greys and the usual F/W colours. Plus, it'll definitely liven up your F/W outfits, headgear, coats and boots! To make the colour block clutches work, dress up in an entirely black outfit to draw attention to your fab new colourful clutch of the season!

Stylish Fendi Bag |

This large Zucca baguette is a combination of extra-large signature FF zucca with its classic zucca print, with an adjustable chain link shoulder strap with leather piece that rests comfortably on your shoulder. (Hey, we all know that chain link straps tend to dig into our skin, though not many will want to admit this, especially ardent fans of Chanel bags).
The Verdict: At first glance, I thought this was a rather mature-looking bag and dismissed it. When I popped into the Fendi boutique and saw this bag, I didn't think much of it either ... until curiosity got the better of me and I decided to sling it on my shoulder. And that's when I changed my mind about the bag. In fact, the bag proved to be rather expensive and classy-looking - in short, it immediately transforms one into a fashionista. It just proves that some things look better when they've been tried on. ;)
Get this beauty for $1,290 via eLuxury .
Note: For those residing in Malaysia, Fendi stuff is cheaper in Malaysia than in the US now. This bag retails at RM4000++ at Fendi Suria KLCC and Star HIll.

Splurge of the Week! |

This week's Splurge of the Week is the vintage-looking F3 Secret Code Bag by Fendi. This Secret Code bag exudes an old world charm, reminding me of the bags of the pre-Second World War era. Making its first appearance in Fendi's Spring/Summer collection this year, this Secret Code is back this season, in different textures and materials. Today's featured pick is made of mouse karung leather with semi-precious stones and large topstitch detailing. Most F3 Secret Code bags come with a shoulder strap so that it can be worn cross-body messenger style. If this appeals to you, it retails for £1,685.10 via Net-a-Porter .

Best Spring 2009 Accessories from Milan |
As with the roundup for Paris Fashion Week, we give you, today, the roundup for Milan Fashion Week. Indeed, they're the most unbelievable stuff you've ever seen (both in a good and bad way). Tee hee hee. And for the rest of you who missed Fashion Week, well, you'll get to see what caught the eyes of the people right on this post *winks*
The Drum-Shaped WristletBottega Veneta
Flat round metallic leather zip-top bag
First up is the Bottega zip-top bag which is both cute and funny! It's cute because it DOES look like a cute lil drum haha but heck, how do you go around with one of those?
The Jewelry-Like Bag
Coral and sequin-embroidered crocodile bag with necklace shoulder chains
This is so overdone. Not for me, no thank you!
The Canvas Tote
Canvas tote with orange and printed leather trim
Absolutely LOVEEEEEE this one! Love the fact that it's framed, not overdone yet still has a hint of Pucci in it! Three cheers for Emilio Pucci! Hip hip hurray!
The New Exotic
Top-handle python bag
Love this one too. It's one of those that have grown on me over the course of these few weeks. I think it has style and character. Not to mention, very unique too!
The Heritage Bag
The revamped Jackie shoulder bag
Goodness gracious! The title's definitely fit for it. 'The heritage bag' they call it. And under the Gucci brand? So un-Gucci. Being a huge fan of their's, I'd have to say I give them a 1/10 for this one! Boo!
The Waterproof Bag
Neoprene shoulder bag in neon coral
Nice one from Tod's. And in a new color too! How pretty! No reason to not look hip and happening even during the rainy season like we have in the tropical country of Malaysia!
The Metallic Leather Clutch
Rectangular mirrorlike metallic leather clutch
Last but not least, this Valextra metallic leather clutch which we've seen over and over again. It's nothing to shout about really. It's been done again and again and what's there to say except... BORING! I don't mean to be a Meanie but don't you think Valextra's a little behind time in their designs? Hehe

Fendi S/S '09 |
The moment you've all been waiting for has finally arrived *grins*
Yes, yes, we're posting about Fendi today!
As always, Karl Lagerfeld never fails to make a fashion statement with his bags. This Spring, we're looking at what makes real news on the fashion scene - the "kangaroo pouch" that looks rather similar to the Hermès Birkin, but with one side draped open.
With lots of colors and patterns to choose from, you'll definitely what something you like in the collection.
Scroll down to see which ones are my favorites *winks*
Didn't think very much of this first one at the beginning.. But I suppose this is just one of those that grows on you over time. I initially thought it looked like one of those Mrs Doubtfire or Old Mother Hubbard would lug around. But after looking at it more closely, I thought to myself, 'Hey, that doesn't look all that bad. In fact, if you look closely, the side that's draped open has holes in it you can see the blue python lining on the inside! How cool!"

Then, I saw the patent one below and fell head over heels. Extremely slick and goes well with just about anything! Perfect, just perfect!
But.. that wasn't until I saw this python one *sulks* How am I going to decide between the cool one, the really slick one that goes well with everything in my closet and the one that's sure to make a fashion statement (this python one below)? Choices, choices, choices!
OooOoohh.. another one that caught my eye! And it comes with gold hardware too! Did I mention to you about my obsession with bags that comes with gold hardware? *grins* Okay okay, enough already!
We now move on to the other bags in the collection. First up, looks like an ethnic embroidered shoulder bag with leather on the sides. A great fashion item with jeans..
And, the next one.. the world's greatest disaster! Enough said. Take a look at it for yourself!
Then, of course, there are the clutches. No runway show is complete without 'em.
First up, the python clutch with Fendi's signature closure. Very much the usual kinda stuff..

And then, we have the new additions.. the perforated ones.. Which I've come to learn, by talking to lots of people.. That not many fancy bare bags. They say it leaves little imagination to those looking on *laughs*
Anyway, with those, you'd wanna be very careful about leaving scratch marks on them.. let alone, stuffing small and unsightly things such as tissue paper or tampons. Oh no!

And.. *looks at the clutch below*.. one second after that.. *takes a second look* Oh dear! Yet another disaster!
But to do the design justice, I'd say, it can look pretty nice. Maybe with an LBD perhaps.. but NEVER NEVER NEVER with something so flowery on the dress. It'd be WAYYYYYYYY to much!
Well, what'd ya think? Liking it? Feel free to comment below.

Fendi Pastel Ombre Doctor B Bag |
Here's the latest from Fendi, the Doctor B Bag...
Fendi Pastel Ombre Doctor B Bag
The latest addition to the house of Fendi, the Doctor B Bag is available in 2 styles, the shoulder bag (shown above), or a larger one with shorter handles. The bag's distinctive feature is the brass B buckle, and is available in a variety of colours - either solid colours or ombre. Bagaholic Babe loves this particular one in Pastel ombre -- don't you think the shades are so feminine and sweet? Plus, if bags are in ombre, they are usually part of the same shade base, moving from light to dark, but for all ombre versions of the Doctor B bag they come in contrast colours! Reminds me of a candy coloured version of a rainbow. Very tastefully done indeed! BUT although this bag is called the doctor b bag, it doesn't at all remind me of a doctor's bag... except for the very discreet frame top on the bag..I ain't complaining though, definitely much more beautiful than your conventional doctor-styled bag! This is an absolute beauty! Being a total Fendi-holic, it's my favourite Fendi bag to date! Get this for $1,840 (or available in Malaysia for RM5,900) via eLuxury or at your local Fendi store.

Splurge of the Week! |
Fendi Fringed Zebra Baguette
This week's splurge is a very unusual zebra printed pony hair with multicolored leather fringe tied to the bag seams throughout. The bag comes with brushed gold metal hardware, 2 detachable multicolor leather shoulder straps (one long, the other shorter)and golden appliques on each side, all items logo-engraved. The baguette opens with a flap at the top and opens up to interior twist-lock closures that allow the buckles to be removed and sumptuous suede lining.
Whenever I look at the baguette, I cannot help but remember the song 'Born to be Wild'. No doubt about it, the prints say it all. Colorful fringes, zebra prints, pony hair.. definitely hard to miss in a crowd.. which I feel is a little too much. The bag contains too many elements together at the same time. It would've been perfect if it was just the zebra printed pony hair alone. What do you think? Hit the comment button below to share with us what your thoughts are on this week's Splurge.
Should you want to know more about the Fendi Fringed Zebra Baguette, visit eLuxury today.
* The Fendi Fringed Zebra Baguette is available for purchase now at $5,420.00
