Valentine's Day is not too far off and if you were to drop by at any mall today, you'll see that retailers have started banking in sales with everything pink and pretty with banners on the shop front saying 'Valentine's Day Special.'
In conjunction with the much celebrated occasion, we've started posting on 'Valentine's Day Recommendations' and here we are again with another suggestion.
Juicy Couture 'Daydreamer' Heart Medallion Bag
Today, we give you the 'Daydreamer' Heart Medallion Bag by Juicy Couture. I know what's going through your mind.. You're likely to be saying this.. "Not another pink one!" but you know what, Valentine's Day wouldn't be Valentine's Day if things weren't pretty, pink and sweet. At least for me, it wouldn't be.
A canvas piece with gleaming logo charms dangling on the front, you'll find the bag uses a drawstring and magnetic tab closure. Accompanying it is an exterior ID window and gathered side pockets for extra storage - not forgetting the sweet logo-print lining on the inside.
And for a price of only $228.00, the item can now be yours via Nordstrom

Scuba GM $2580
Scuba MM - $1940
Scuba clutch - $725
Created by Marc Jacobs, the Scuba GM, MM and Clutch above is made of signature LV monogram embossed on Neoprene (that's the material used for making wetsuits for diving), therefore earning the name as 'Scuba'. The shape of the Large Scuba (GM) can be changed by unfastening the dock clip and tucking out the sides. When expanded, it will look like the Medium Scuba (MM) . All bags from the Scuba range come in 2 bright colours, neon pink and flourescent orange. Both the Large and Medium sizes may be either toted in your arm (though imho it's a tad toooo big for that) or on the shoulder. The Scuba Clutch on the other hand, also doubles as a wristlet. All you have to do is strap on the wrist strap and voila, you're good to go!
The Verdict: It's been awhile since Bagaholic Babe saw anything from Vuitton that she likes. This collection, on the other hand, she absolutely loves! And no prizes for guessing which colour I like it in.... Pink of course! Lol, though the orange and pink together (Ad campaign pic above) looks smashing! Good on ya, Marc Jacobs! I applaud these designs. I know that the designs aren't exactly new and neither are the shapes, but it's definitely novel in terms of the use and choice of material! Kudos!
To view the entire Cruise collection, head on over to Louis Vuitton or enquire at your nearest Vuitton store.

Splurge of the Week! |
One of my favorites from the Christian Dior label, the Samouri Shopper is our pick of the week for a splurge!
Dior Samouri Shopper
A pretty in pink (well, to be exact, the color is fushcia) shopper, the Samouri has a very Asian feel to it. The woven leather reminds of the weaving we see a lot in Malaysian handicraft but of course, this is weaving at its best and the top handles come with tortoise shell rings and serpents too. Am definitely loving the tortoise shell rings but am not too sure about the serpents. Also included is a Louis XVI picture frame tag with the Dior logo.
The Dior Samouri Shopper is priced at $4,275.00 and any $350 regular handbag purchase is entitled to a FREE* set of 12 designer-illustrated notecards.

All the above is available via Neiman Marcus

Travel in Style! |
It's been a while since we posted on travel items. With the holiday season is coming up, it'd be good to share a few items that'd come in handy during the summer.
One of the essential items we always carry with us is a toiletry bag or a make-up bag. This season, Juicy Couture is helping you get organised with their new Juicy Couture Deluxe Cosmetic Case. From the sound of it, you already know you'll never have to leave home again without your essentials. Take a look for yourself!
You're looking at a top handled velour cosmetic case with pink leather trimming, gold hardware and an embroidered 'Juicy Couture' logo on the front accompanied by a cute strawberry on the side.
On the other side is a simple but sweet pink heart with an also embroidered letter 'J' that signifies the Juicy Couture label. You'll see from the close-up picture below the item is very well done..
Last but not least, the good stuff!
The Juicy Couture Deluxe Cosmetic Case opens up to lots of storage space - with zips on one side (to keep the items from falling out) and on the other side, storage space for make-up brushes, a toothbrush and maybe even a hair brush. The case comes with a heart shaped mirror so you won't have to worry about bringing another!
If that's not enough, Net-a-Porter is offering a discount for this item right now. You'll be paying £81.92 instead of the usual £117.03 price!
Available via Net-a-Porter

Splurge of the Week! |
Today's post is the Versace Logo Hobo in black leather. A pretty simple hobo with silvertone hardware, tonal topstitching and a buckled top handle, the bag looks pretty plain to me. See it for yourself..
Versace Logo Hobo
But of course, the bag is anything but plain. Afterall, it carries the Versace name.. And the price to it? A whopping $2,100.00!!
Well, what'd ya think? Will you pay so much for a bag such as this? Share with us what you think by leaving us a comment.

New Jimmy Choo Bracelet Hobo |
Want a way to reinvent your average looking hobo bag? Here's your solution! The new Jimmy Choo 'Saba' Bracelet Hobo is a perfect example of how a hobo bag can be updated. Take a look below...
Jimmy Choo 'Saba' Bracelet Hobo
A red nappa leather hobo with tonal topstitching, the bag also comes with the bracelet (a goldtone hardware), top handles as well as the logo ring detail.
A pretty stylish piece, I must say. The gold bracelet makes all the different. Although I'm not sure if it's going to be heavy with that piece around. Also, some of you might be worried about keeping your stuff in it because the bag doesn't come with a zippered top. Well, worry not.. The bag is a bit long so it'd be hard for a pickpocket to get anything off you but that also means, it might be difficult for you to locate your stuff. Anyhow, check it out via Neiman Marcus
The Jimmy Choo Saba Bracelet Hobo is priced at $2,450.00
For those of you in Malaysia, this Jimmy Choo 'Saba' bracelet hobo is available at the Jimmy Choo Boutique at Suria KLCC. I saw one a few weeks back in purple, at their storefront window display...

New Louis Vuitton Monogramouflage Collection |
Presenting: Vuitton's Limited Edition Monogramouflage Collection by Takashi Murakami
Here's yet another collaboration with Marc Jacobs with the House of Vuitton and Japanese pop artist, Takashi Murakami. The new addition to the ever-growing range of Vuitton monogram bags, this Monogramouflage collection was specially created for the Murakami Exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum in New York. Launched at this very exhibition on June 1st, it is now available online and at select Louis Vuitton boutiques worldwide.
As you can probably tell from the name of the collection itself, the Monogramouflage is a combination of Vuitton's signature monogram and army-esque camouflage design. This is probably one of the bigger Murakami Limited Editions out there. This Monogramouflage Collection consists of an accessories line, a travel line and a handbags line. Actually, when you look at the photos below, you'd notice that this collection is mainly for travel.
The Travel Bags
Pegase 60
Speedy 35 (there's also the Keepall 55 which is a hugggeee version of this speedy)
Passport Cover
The Bags and an accessory
Jasmine
Lys
Treillis
iPhone Case
The Verdict: Well my dear Bagaddicts. I don't know about you ladies out there, but Bagaholic Babe doesn't really like this Limited Edition collection. I've always fancied those cutesy Murakami cartoonesque and cutesy designs like the Panda, the Cherry, the Sakura and the Mushroom, but this one is too rugged for my liking. And I'm not a camo fan, so needless to say, this really ain't my thing.

Vivienne Westwood Patent Tote |

Bagaholic Babe never really fancied Vivienne Westwood's bags, especially her signature tartan ones with graffiti-like writing on them, which imho, kinda looks like what Alexander McQueen might do, in terms of clothing and RTW. Remember his tartan ball gown he did for Sarah Jessica Parker some years back? Anyway, I digress. Let's go back to today's featured bag, shall we? Although I was never really a Westwood fan, there's something about the character of this bag that I really like... and such an unusual shape for Westwood too! (Her bags are usually puffy and fat-ish with wide bases, if you catch my drift). Made of patent leather with the Westwood orb logo in gold, it looks rather classy. Don't be deceived by the size of the pic above though, it's actually a small tote. As for the actual measurements, I'm sorry but I couldn't find it. Called the 'Jasmine', it's one of the totes from Westwood's current collection and is priced at £529.00. Available via Harrods .
For Malaysians out there who are reading this post, in case you didn't already know, Vivienne Westwood is available in KL at Isetan, the Gardens, Mid Valley. However, what I don't know is, if this tote is available there. If you're interested, hop on over there to check it out. No harm trying, right?

New Addition to the L.A.M.B collection |
If you're one for doctor bags but notice there aren't many around, well, we have good news for you. Today, we're featuring the Edinburgh McGregor Doctor Bag by L.A.M.B. As with all doctor bags, the bag is a framed piece with a flapped push-lock closure. At the top is a sturdy double-layered leather top handle and opens up to L.A.M.B.'s very own striped logo canvas lining, a luxurious leather-trimmed zip pocket, three patch pockets and a small flap pocket that comes with a snap closure.
L.A.M.B. Edinburgh McGregor Doctor Bag
The Edinburgh McGregor Doctor Bag is an eye-catching one with it's two toned woven geometric print fabric that looks like diamonds and is an item where fashion meets function. It'll accomodate everything you need without having to settle for less where fashion is concerned.
The Edinburge McGregor Doctor Bag by L.A.M.B is available for purchase via eLuxury and is priced at an affordable price of only $595.00

Splurge of the Week! |
Fendi Fringed Zebra Baguette
This week's splurge is a very unusual zebra printed pony hair with multicolored leather fringe tied to the bag seams throughout. The bag comes with brushed gold metal hardware, 2 detachable multicolor leather shoulder straps (one long, the other shorter)and golden appliques on each side, all items logo-engraved. The baguette opens with a flap at the top and opens up to interior twist-lock closures that allow the buckles to be removed and sumptuous suede lining.
Whenever I look at the baguette, I cannot help but remember the song 'Born to be Wild'. No doubt about it, the prints say it all. Colorful fringes, zebra prints, pony hair.. definitely hard to miss in a crowd.. which I feel is a little too much. The bag contains too many elements together at the same time. It would've been perfect if it was just the zebra printed pony hair alone. What do you think? Hit the comment button below to share with us what your thoughts are on this week's Splurge.
Should you want to know more about the Fendi Fringed Zebra Baguette, visit eLuxury today.
* The Fendi Fringed Zebra Baguette is available for purchase now at $5,420.00

Presenting: Louis Vuitton Cruise Collection 08 - Monogram Rubis |
A few days ago, BagObsessed Babe featured the Mini Lin Croisette, from Louis Vuitton's Cruise Collection 2008. Today, also from Vuitton's 2008 Cruise Collection, Bagaholic Babe presents the new Monogram Rubis range to you.
Neo Bucket -- US$2150 or $1450 Euros
Salina GM (Large) - - US$2850 or $1900 Euros
Salina MM (Medium) -- US$2550 or $1700 Euros
Detail Closeup
2008's Cruise Collection this year features Louis Vuitton's signature Monogram Canvas with Red Vinyl trimmings and Red Printed Alligator Leather (sorry peeps, it isn't real Alligator, just an alligator print on the leather). Personally, Bagaholic Babe loves this collection, and prefers it to the Mini Lin Croisette Cruise Collection as this Monogram Rubis collection is more eye-catching, with that vibrant shade of fire-engine red. I'm not usually one who likes red...In fact, I don't fancy red at all, but somehow, this collection appeals very much to me. Perhaps because the Red Vinyl trimmings give the bag just the right amount of gloss and shine, without the feel of it looking overdone. Me Likey. My favourite pick is the Salina MM and the Neo Bucket. Kudos to Marc Jacobs on a job well done!

Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Miss Marc' Oversized Tote |
For seasons past, the caricature seen on Marc by Marc Jacobs bags was the very scary looking voodoo doll-like 'Katie'. For this Fall/Winter season, the new caricature that adorns Marc by Marc Jacobs bags is the very cutesy-looking 'Miss Marc'. As this bag is from the Fall/Winter Collection, 'Miss Marc' sports a snowflake shirt. I must say that I've seen the actual bag, and the pictures below don't do the bag much justice at all because it's so much cuter than the photos foretell.

'Miss' Marc Oversized PolkaDot Tote - Interior View
Made of canvas and fastened with a magnetic snap closure, this oversized polkadotted tote has bow-detailed knotted handles that add to the bag's already cutesy look. You'll be glad to know that this bag can be worn in 3 ways! Apart from the square tote above, the sides of the bag can be folded in so that you have a more triangular sorta look that would resemble the shape of Fendi's Bag De Jour. In addition to that, this bag is also reversible. When reversed, the outer side will sport Marc by Marc Jacobs signature logo print (as above). Hm, this bag may seem like a overly huge day bag, but it looks good on the shoulder! Plus, it's great for travelling! This Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Miss Marc' Polkadot Oversized Tote comes with a very affordable pricetag - just £112.34! Available via Net-a-Porter.
In fact, Bagaholic Babe is thinking of getting one!! It's just way too cute to resist..It's available in Malaysia at Isetan@ The Gardens, MidValley for RM899 and there was only one piece available! Hopefully it's not gone by the time I go there...

2 New Vuitton Goodies for Fall/Winter! |
Which Fall/Winter Season is ever complete without a dose of Shearling somewhere in the collections? Well, this Fall/Winter '07, this Shearling Monogrammed Tote forms a part of Louis Vuitton's Fall/Winter Collection. In addition, Vuitton's famous Monogram Canvas Logo Print now comes in Patent this season.
Louis Vuitton Shearling and Patent Tote
Fellow BagAddicts, sorry for the small photo above. Couldn't find a bigger pic of the bag. I don't know what you guys think of the bag but, Me no Likey! Bagaholic Babe thinks that the Tote would've looked better if the Shearling trimmings were just confined to the top instead of going all round the bag.
Next up, a new addition to the Damier Collection - the 'Trevi
Bagaholic Babe has always preferred the Damier to the Monogram Canvas Print, simply because I think the dark brown handles gives the bags a classier-looking vibe. Plus, unlike the Monogram Canvas range, the handles don't turn darker orange-y shades with age and use. Anyway, back to the 'Trevi', the latest addition to the Damier Collection.
The 'Trevi' comes in 2 sizes, Small (PM) and Large (GM) - both are complete with a removable shoulder strap, as shown above. I don't know about ya'll my fellow BagAddicts, but the moment I saw this bag, it occurred to me that it resembles the 'It' Bag', the Marc Jacobs 'Stam' Bag. I guess this resemblance lies in the shape and overall structure of the bag. Afterall, since Marc Jacobs is also the Head Designer/Creative Director for the House of Vuitton, it's no surprise that both the two bags look somewhat alike.

New -- Louis Vuitton Neo Cabby Tote |
Here's the latest addition to Louis Vuitton's Monogram Denim Family - the Neo Cabby Tote.
Available in Black or Blue Denim (both shown below), this Neo Cabbby Tote comes in 2 sizes - the Medium (MM), which is big enough to hold your A4 officedocuments and the Large (GM). You can wear this bag in 3 ways - hold is as a Tote, as a Shoulder Bag or just latch on the removable adjustable strap and wear it cross-body. So there ya go, 3 looks for the price of 1!
Neo Cabby Tote MM - Black Denim
Neo Cabby Tote MM - Blue Denim
Neo Cabby - Detail Closeup
Usually, I prefer the Blue Denim, but this bag somehow looks better in Black Denim. Personally, imho, to date, this is the best looking bag from the Monogram Denim Collection (but of course not the Denim Cruise Collection - now that I absolutely love! The stripes with the stamped LV Trunks and Bags logo is just To die for!) Too bad the Denim Cruise is a seasonal collection...ah wells.

Could This Be Louis Vuitton's Next 'It' Bag?? |

'Neverfull' Bag GM (Large)
'Neverfull' Bag - Interior View
Rumour has it that Louis Vuitton's new bag from the Monogram Canvas Line, the 'Neverfull' is pre-destined for 'It' Bag Status, joining its predecessors, LV's iconic bags such as the 'Speedy' and the 'Alma'. This 'Neverfull' bag is an apt name for the bag as it has drawstring sides and hence, is expandable. So, whether it be for travel or for work, it's the ideal bag for you. It comes in 3 sizes, small (PM), Medium (GM) and Large (GM) and retails for $575, $620 and $665 respectively. Available via eLuxury

Presenting: Louis Vuitton's Monogram Miroir Fall 2007 |

Monogram Miroir Lockit in Silver
Monogram Miroir in Gold
Yes, yes, the Monogram Miroir Collection that we saw from Louis Vuitton Last Fall/Winter '06 is back! Err, much to my dismay, this Fall '07, the 'Lockit' now joins the 'Speedy' and the 'Alma' of Last Fall's Miroir Collection. I've never been a fan of the Miroir Collection. It's just too loud too 'bling-y', too plasticky and 'vinyl-y' and too 'in your face'. But the celebs and A-Listers seem to fancy it and some of us commonfolk too... Ah well, one man's meat is another man's poison. I guess the only consolation is that the 'Lockit' in Monogram Miroir is much better looking than the Speedy and the Alma. For those of you who like the Miroir then feast your eyes. It retails for $1100 Euros

Fendi Forever Sequinned Borsa |

Yes, naturally, being a total Fendiholic, I just had to feature this. From the Fall/Winter 2007 Collection, this Fendi 'Forever Sequined Borsa' is in its signature Zucchiino-print fabric (small 'FF' logo) accented with clear sequins allover. I love the multicoloured metallic Orange/Pink/Blue/Gold calfskin leather trims, but I know I'd certainly prefer it if the bag came without the sequins. Well one thing's for sure, this bag will definitely 'Pop' and get you noticed during the Fall/Winter season! Available for $760 via Neiman Marcus

Presenting: Fendi's Fall Trunk Show F/W '07 |
Presenting: Fendi's Fall/Winter Trunk Show 2007
Here are some of the bags from Fendi's Fall/Winter 2007 Trunk Show. I've only chosen a few bags from the F/W '07 Collection to write about, mainly the new shapes and designs that are new to the House of Fendi. Of course, there are the regular Classic Fendi Bags, such as the Chef bag in Patent Leather, etc, but I've left these out because they are not new shapes. The bags pictured here are slightly more innovative - channelling the edgy, Deconstructed vibe. Most of the bags can be converted into clutches for the evening, however, Imho, the bags from this collection aren't necessarily fantastic looking.
First up, the the Raddica Boston Bag
Following in the footsteps of Louis Vuitton, this F/W '07 Season sees Fendi experimenting with the Patchwork style. Utilising its signature printed Zucca jacquard canvas and a super-sized logo jacquard canvas with brown vinyl trimmings, there's only one word to describe its look: Deconstructed. Pre-Order this bag for $1595 via Neiman Marcus.
Next, we have the Convertible Zucca Bag
Similar to the Raddica Boston Bag above, this Convertible Zucca Bag is also in the patchwork style, using a combination of the Zucca Jacquard, the super-size logo Jacquard Canvas and Brown Vinyl trimmings. The bag converts into a flap clutch (shown below)
Like this bag? Pre-Order it for $1,600 via Neiman Marcus.
Remember the Woven Crossword Tote from Fendi's Spring/Summer 2007 Collection? Well for this Fall/Winter season, the Woven Tote now comes in Super-sized Zucca Jacquard. Well, I've never really been a fan of this Woven-styled tote (ok, in fact, not at all), but compared to those from this year's Spring/Summer Collection, if I absolutely had to pick which one I like best, then I guess it'll have to be this one. Get this for $1,470 via Neiman Marcus.
This 'To You' purse is Similar in style to the Convertible Zucca Bag above, minus the deconstructed patchwork. This 'To You' purse is a combination of taupe suede and leather, with tortoiseshell trimmings. Below is how the bag looks when it's folded over into a clutch.
Pre-Order this 'To You' purse from Neiman Marcus for $1,595

Also from the 'To You' Collection, this Convertible bag is available in Ivory (shown) Multicolour (shown) and Black. I'd say the Multicolour 'To You' Purse is the probably the only bag I like from Fendi's F/W '07, and coming from a Fendiholic herself.. I've been raving about this Multicolour 'To You' Bag since I saw it at Fendi's lacklustre F/W '07 Showing at Fashion Week. It's finally available!! Whoopee! Get this for $1300 via Neiman Marcus.
Last but not least, the Shearling Shopping Chef Bag. For, what F/W collection would ever be complete without something in Shearling? Besides fur, Shearling is the other must-have in every F/W Collection. This F/W, Fendi's Classic 'Chef' Bag is made of Ivory knit and given a Shearling coat, trimmed with dark brown leather and brown beading details. Like all Fendi Chef Bags, this Shearling Chef has Fendi's cutout logo charm. This is called a 'Shopping Chef' Bag because unlike Fendi's signature Chef bags with flap top closures, this particular one is open-topped. Pre-Order this seasonal bag for a hefty $5,040 from Neiman Marcus. In stores in late October.
