Instead of one, we'll be featuring two bargains this week. Simply because.. we're featuring one (like we always do) and the other we've featured in the past (but not under the bargain section) and we're delighted to feature it here today! It's one of our favorite pieces. It's part of the wish list of a few people we know and we wanna tell you, if you haven't got it yet, this is your last chance to get it.. and it's a STEAL!
First up.. the new stuff..
Brian Atwood Daphne Clutch
An exclusive item online at Saks Fifth Avenue, the Brian Atwood Daphne is a calf leather clutch that may seem like a rather serious piece to you. Although simple and more suitable for the older generation, you say.. and I agree completely, try and take notice how the gold hardware as well as the oval details have brought back life into this framed clutch. If you look closely, it's no longer for the old but for the young too.
For a fraction of the price, you can now add this piece to your collection. It is highly recommended that every girl's wardrobe stores at least 1, maybe 2, basic bags (preferably one colored and simple) to make use of in case you haven't a matching bag in your closet. They always come in handy. Always!
Original Price: $1,060.00
Sale $317.92
Next up is of course is one of our favorites (as mentioned to you earlier).
Juicy Couture Leather Mini Bag with Charms
For those of you who never got a chance to learn about the bag when I posted it a while back, let me share with you again why we think the bag is simply divine! If you look close enough, you'll see the charms are in the shape of a heart, a crown, a horseshoe, a key and a cherry! Pretty, isn't it? And the bag also comes with goldtone hardware, a detachable top handle and canvas logo lining. If all the while, what you're looking for is a hip, trendy piece that's fit for a princess, well, this is it! If you think this is great, wait till you see the price tag *winks*
Previously sold at a retail price of $155.00, you can now own the Juicy Couture Leather Mini Bag with Charms for only $57.67. Yup, you didn't see that wrong! That's more than 60% off the original price. Well, what are you waiting for? Grab your very own Juicy Couture Leather Mini Bag with Charms today!

Valentino Jardin Rose Framed Duffel $2,395.00
This week, we have specially picked out one of the latest item from the Valentino collection - just for you. A purple nappa leather duffel, the bag's focus is on the ruched body with the rosette detail. A trend now with the Valentino label, you'll find the Valentino Jardin Rose Framed Duffel now joins an ever growing 3-D flower collection. But of course, after comparing with the rest, there is nothing that can compared with the one we're featuring today. A top handle duffel, the bag also comes with shoulder straps for alternative carrying and the frame opens up at the top with lobster clips. We haven't seen the use of lobster clips for a while now. Something truly different from the rest.

Hermes F/W '08 |
As always, we never fail to include Hermes as part of the Fashion Week spread. I'm sure you're all eager to find out what Hermes has come out with for Fall/Winter. Well, let's not wait anymore. Let's get right into it..
First up, the famous Birkin..

This season, they're using earthly tones on their Birkin.. keeping it toned down.. Then, there's the Kelly pochette in croc..

Then there's the Kelly.. reinvented into a messenger bag.. Rather impressive stuff.. Definitely loving the white one..

And other messenger bags - also in absolutely dark colors.. Really dull..

And then, there's the brighter patterned pieces that's sure to brighten up your days.. Colorful and very ethnic looking.

Overall, I must say it's a rather boring collection - although.. there ARE one or two which are quite interesting. Click here for a review of Hermes's Fall/Winter collection on Style.com

Bottega Veneta F/W '08 |
On Bottega this coming season, we see a variety of stuff from their collection.
As you can see, their signature woven pieces still remain.. the first piece being brighter than ever.. a patchwork woven tote that's really has just too much work on it.. the green and black one looking like what we can find in our craft stores at 'Central Market' in Malaysia. I think the best among the woven pieces would have to be the woven clutch. It looks elegant yet not too over the top.

They've also got the same clutch quilted in patent.. yes, I think it's patent and a bright red quilted clutch that's a bit rough looking..

Then there's the more luxurious pieces in exotic leather.. the first being an envelope clutch followed by a beautiful ostrich bag with buckles fastened on the sides..

And a show of more framed bags.. The matte crocodile bag with a fold-over frame top looking extremely stunning..

And to top it off, there's a colorful beaded clutch that must've taken ages to put together but a little too big to hold. Not very user-friendly, is it? But it does have the WOW factor in it. You're bound to get people's heads turning with an item such as this..
Overall, I must say, the collection is made up of the finest but if I were to recommend you stuff from their collection, I'd say.. Go for the exotics!

YSL Satin Miniaudiere |
I've never really seen a YSL Evening Clutch I've really liked - either they bear that bold YSL logo, or it's just not to my taste. However, Bagaholic Babe thinks that this one sets itself apart from most of the YSL clutches that we seem to see. This box frame Satin Miniaudiere is less 'serious' looking. In fact, true to signature YSL style and character, it's simple and chic, but it stands out from the other YSL Evening bags in terms of its playfulness.
Designed to resemble an envelope, it bears YSL's address print detail in gold on the front, complete with a postal stamp detail. In fact, minus the stamped part and that resembling an envelope, this satin miniaudiere actually reminded me of Louis Vuitton's Antigua Collection, where the LV address was first introduced on a plaque that adorns the bags. Having said that, I still think that this YSL Miniaudiere has more character =). I love this. Ooh, plus there's the added bling factor with the rhinestone twist lock closure. Get this for $1,395 from Saks .
If you're not a Black person, this bag also comes in Red. However, Bagaholic Babe was never too much of a red fan, and it's in bright red, and looks too Film Noir Femme Fatale like for my liking..

Valentino 'Tuxedo' Frame Bag |
When I first saw this bag, I thought it looked rather different and somewhat cutesy and yes, naturally, it was the little bow at the top that caught my eye. It's definitely cute but doesn't overplay the cutesy factor, as the bow and frame top of this 'Tuxedo' Nappa Frame Bag by Valentino is tastefully done in natural coloured brown leather. But hey, no arguments here, as can we even think of one Valentino bag that is the slightest bit distasteful? Well, Bagaholic Babe thinks not.
Made of soft nappa leather with brown frame and bow details, this 'Tuxedo' Frame bag is definitely a different looking sort of frame bag compared to all the usual looking frame bags out there, which are either with kiss lock closures, or with a zippered top. This Tuxedo Frame bag is for someone who is looking for a cutesy bag without looking overly cute and girlish. Available for $1,795 via Saks .

Splurge of the Week! |
This week's Splurge of the Week is by one of the slightly more obscure designers, Mauro Orietti-Carella Zagliani. This week features the designer's Metallic Python Tote. For those of you not in the know, the designer was a dermatologist-turned-designer. Using his Dermatology background, Zagliani discovered a new technique in the art of handbag making when he came up with the idea of injecting exotic skins such as Python and Crocodile with Silicone to give Exotic skins a buttery soft texture. So needless to say, this designer specialises in Exotic skin handbags.
This belted frame top Metallic Python Bag has expandable gusseted sides and is dubbed as "this season's showstopping 'It' Bag of the season." Availble in Metallic Gold or Metallic Pewter Silver, it retails for $2685 via InterMix. Alternatively, you can also get Zagliani's creations at Saks Fifth Avenue Stores nationwide.

Moschino Metallic Shoulder Bag |

Made of Multicolour metallic leather in shades of Silver and Grey, this Bugaffin Metallic Shoulder Bag by Moschino is the epitome of the Fall/Winter Season. The complementary frosty metallic colours is definitely the understated F/W bag of the season. So, if you still haven't found your perfect Fall/Winter Bag, then this is for you. Don't fret about the shelf-life of Metallics just yet, as Metallics are still very 'in' this Fall/Winter Season, as well as for next Spring/Summer 2008. So, at the very least, this bag should last you for 2 seasons. Oh and in Bagaholic Babe's opinion, the tassels is the key detail that just makes the bag. Try to imagine how the bag would look like without the tassels and nah, it just wouldn't look the same. Plus, the zippered frame top gives the bag a semi-structured look so the bag just won't look like a collapsible heap of leather when you put it down.
Interested? This bag is also available in shades of frosty Bronze. Get this Bugaffin Metallic Shoulder Bag for $1,395 via Neiman Marcus

'It' Bag List - Paris Fashion Week S/S '08 |
As always, alongside the New York and Milan Fashion Week, I present you the 'It' bag list for Paris Fashion Week S/S '08 collection. This coming season, you'll notice colors - lots of colors. Colors are in.. and so is leather. Exotic Leather. Paris's S/S '08 collection spots items that goes spectacularly well with your LBD because of its strong (and most often than not, solid) colors.

Take the 'Hand-painted Clutch' by VBH, for example. It's so colorful, it can be a standalone - minus the accessories and it's enough to take other's breath away.
And what about the 'Graphic Clutch' from Christian Dior? It's luxurious ponyskin as well as it's unique design gives others the idea that there is none like it. Definitely an accessory to carry on a dinner date. Be the envy of others while your beau serenades you.

Presenting Fashion Week: Marni S/S '08 |
On Marni this coming season is a shift in color - from the more natural forest-y, watery greens to a mix of bright colors such as purple and the more woody, earth-y tones like grays, browns and mustard and sometimes even a short blast of flourescent orange somewhere in the middle.
Their bag collection in Spring 2008 will complement the garments. Most of 'em if not all are of solid natural tones.. still maintaining the current favorite patent leather. Overall, I must say.. A lot of leather - patent and buttery soft leather, framed bags, foldover snap closure bags. See for yourself what I'm talking about..

And now, for the verdict:
Overall, a beautiful collection if compared to so many others I've seen. I particularly love the foldover framed totes. What about you? Share with us your thoughts and comments on the collection by clicking the button below.

Presenting: Fashion Week: Bottega Veneta S/S '08 |
Presenting: Milan Fashion Week: Bottega Veneta Spring/Summer Collection 2008
This Spring/Summer 2008, the House of Bottega Veneta, renown for its woven leather goods, despite updating its look, still staying true to its simplistic and minimalist tradition. The result: yet another timeless and classic collection for the S/S 2008 season. This S/S sees the house experimenting with more supple shapes like foldove and almost petal-like tops. Also, instead of using the Bottega Veneta's signature woven look for the whole bag, it utilises the signature weave in creating details that make swirly patterns (shown below). Apart from creating details, the brand also experiments with new shapes and styles of bags this season - the bucket-esque shopper, and Frame bags with expandable bottoms that when in its compressed state, looks rather like an accordion (see white Frame bag below). A definite conversation piece imho, as I've never seen a bag that is designed quite like that! Very novel indeed.

The Verdict: Kudos to Tomas Maier! A very well put together collection! Bagaholic Babe is absolutely loving Bottega Veneta's Collection for S/S '08. I've never been a fan of Bottega Veneta because their bags are too simple, but From what I've seen thus far from the designers that have shown their colelctions at Fashion Week, I think it's the best collection! Bottega Veneta Wins, hands down!
Bagaholic Babe loves the grey frame bag with pastel ombre woven details (2nd from bottom) and the bags with the swirly patterns (esp the pink foldover one with the petal-like top!) Perhaps the only bags I don't like from this collection are the (coincidentally) the tan and beige coloured ones...
