In these last few weeks since the new year, we've been rather pleased with our findings and today is no different. Valentino Noeud d'Amore Clutch
Included in our ever increasing list of arm candies is the new Valentino Noeud d'Amore Clutch - a pretty in pink bow clutch that also doubles as a shoulder bag.
This Italian-made accessory comes with goldtone hardware and opens with a zip at the top. Although really pretty, sometimes I do wonder.. how am I going to find my stuff in one of those?
Like what you see?
The Valentino Noeud d'Amore Clutch also comes in red and black satin and is available at Neiman Marcus for $1,095.00

Splurge of the Week! |
It's been awhile since we've posted something from Valentino. So, as today's Splurge, we're featuring the new Noeud Tote.
Upon first glance, this bag seems to be made of nylon, but looks can be deceiving because this "Noeud" tote is actually made of buttery-soft nappa leather. Plus, it's a no-brainer that Valentino doesn't do bags in nylon. As proof of its suppleness, only the softest and most supple leather can be turned into a layered or tiered effect with a stitched bow detailing. As with most bags these days, this Noeud Tote comes with a detachable shoulder strap so that you have the option of carrying it on the shoulder or cross-body style. Get this bag for $3,495 via Saks

Splurge of the Week! |
Valentino Jardin Rose Framed Duffel $2,395.00
This week, we have specially picked out one of the latest item from the Valentino collection - just for you. A purple nappa leather duffel, the bag's focus is on the ruched body with the rosette detail. A trend now with the Valentino label, you'll find the Valentino Jardin Rose Framed Duffel now joins an ever growing 3-D flower collection. But of course, after comparing with the rest, there is nothing that can compared with the one we're featuring today. A top handle duffel, the bag also comes with shoulder straps for alternative carrying and the frame opens up at the top with lobster clips. We haven't seen the use of lobster clips for a while now. Something truly different from the rest.
To find out more, visit Neiman Marcus today for a more detailed description & closer look at the bag.

Valentino Maison Studded Tote
Featured on this week's Splurge is the new Maison Studded Tote by Valentino. An absolutely stunning piece, the Maison tote, in teal suede, comes with top handles and goldtone hardware. The knife-pleats and pyramid studs on the tote add character to the bag and is unlike what I've seen before. It's extremely pretty and goes well with just about anything!
Available for a price of $2,295.00, you'll find it also available in the colors and materials as shown below:

From Neiman Marcus, we've got..
Isabella Fiore's Let Go My Deco Patent Satchel
A very unusual patent leather satchel - with gold-tone hardware and pleats on the front.
Valentino Drape Bag
A very elegant looking piece made from satin and has tonal embossed leather trim.
Moving on to Saks Fifth Avenue, here's..
Juicy Couture Leather Mini Bag with Charms
An oh-so-cute piece our dear Bagaholic Babe simply loves, it is a petite design made of smooth leather accented with plenty of charm ornaments.
And last but not least, from Bloomingdales..
Adrienne Vittadini Suede Hobo
I think I'm starting to have a thing for such designs. Lol. An extremely sweet looking hobo, I must say.
Calvin Klein Clasp Shoulder Bag
Some may say this is a very 'Loud' choice but I think it's goes perfectly well with your LBD. This leather shoulder bag with flap closure comes with zip pockets, an ID holder and even a mirror on the inside. Ultra cool!

Valentino 'Tuxedo' Frame Bag |
When I first saw this bag, I thought it looked rather different and somewhat cutesy and yes, naturally, it was the little bow at the top that caught my eye. It's definitely cute but doesn't overplay the cutesy factor, as the bow and frame top of this 'Tuxedo' Nappa Frame Bag by Valentino is tastefully done in natural coloured brown leather. But hey, no arguments here, as can we even think of one Valentino bag that is the slightest bit distasteful? Well, Bagaholic Babe thinks not.
Made of soft nappa leather with brown frame and bow details, this 'Tuxedo' Frame bag is definitely a different looking sort of frame bag compared to all the usual looking frame bags out there, which are either with kiss lock closures, or with a zippered top. This Tuxedo Frame bag is for someone who is looking for a cutesy bag without looking overly cute and girlish. Available for $1,795 via Saks .

Presenting: Fashion Week: Valentino S/S '08 |
Presenting: Paris Fashion Week: Valentino Sping/Summer Collection 2008
With the exception of a few new additions to Valentino's Handbag Collection, most of the bags from the Spring/Summer 2008 Collection seem to be bags that are already a part of Valentino's 2007 collection - best sellers such as the Lacca Bow Shopper and Bow Clutches cum Wristlests . The only difference is that instead of Patent leather like we saw last season, it's now available in Metallic Gold and Pink (Lacca Bow Shopper) and in Metallic Silver Python for the Clutch/Wristlet. Again, as with most of the other designers, there is use of Exotic Skins, Crocodile being a favourite amongst designers, and the whole patchwork of bright colours.

The Verdict:Valentino's usually classy designs have become unusually garish in his Spring/Summer Collection for 2008. Bagaholic Babe has always been a fan of Valentino, and yes, especially his Lacca Bow Shopper, but the Metallic Gold and Pink somehow makes the bag look like designer knockoffs instead. The one in Patent from F/W 2007 looks so much more chic. The multicoloured Croc Bags are even more of an eyesore. Overall, Bagaholic Babe rates the entire collection as a 'Nay!'

Dear BagAddicts, this week's Splurge of the Week is so Hot that it's temporarily oversold and is currently on Backorder! Presenting this week's Splurge, the Leather Rosette Hobo by Valentino.
Made of ivory pleated leather Black leather trims and Rosette Detail on a Framed top, this Leather Rosette Bag is a stunner, though methinks for the slightly more mature and accomplished lady with class and finesse. Well not that WE don't have class and finesse but hm, just ain't my thing I suppose. Get this via Bergdorf Goodman for $1950. A small price to pay, if you ask me, especially for a Valentino creation.

Yummy-licious Valentino Bow Clutches |
Not too long ago I was raving about and totally in love with Valentino's Lacca Bow Shopper . Now, I'm obsessing over this Bow Clutch cum Wristlet, also by Valentino. It seems as if Valentino can do no wrong when it comes to bow details and oversized ones, at that! Or perhaps I just love anything Valentino does with bow details? Ah well, either way, I'm totally loving this Bow Clutch, esp the Striped one (see below)!
Striped Clutch
Out of all the Bow clutches (Metallic Leather, Python, Satin, Leopard - see below), I love this Striped one best. I think it exudes that 60s Mod look, which will definitely make one stand out amongst a crowd of people carrying crystallized Miniaudieres and common satin clutches, etc. Also, it reminds me of Gwen Stefani's style.
Here's how you can wear it as a wristlet if you don't wanna use it as a Clutch - a great way in which you can dance the night away and not be afraid of someone nicking your bag! Retails for $850 via Bergdorf Goodman
If ya don't like the Striped one, here's one in Metallic Silver Leather
Metallic Bow Clutch - $895 via Bergdorf Goodman
Here's one in Python
Python Bow Clutch. Pre-Order from Bergdorf Goodman. Not available in California as Python products are banned by state law.
And now in Satin...
Satin Bow Clutch - $750 via Bergdorf Goodman
And in Leopard...
Leopard-Print Haircalf Bow Clutch - $985 via Bergdorf Goodman

Valentino Lacca Bow Shopper |

Yay! I can finally get my hands on this Valentino beauty, the Lacca Bow Shopper. I've been waiting in anticipation for its release, wondering where and when I can get my hands on one ever since Style.com named this Patent Valentino Shopper as one of their Hottest Bag Picks for Fall/Winter '07 . I guess to some, this shopper is nothing out of the ordinary, but personally, I just love, love, LOVE the bow detail on the side of the bag! I normally don't go for black bags, as I find them too blah and boring, so I usually opt for 'coloured' bags instead. I mean, hey, I'm one of those people out there who has to coordinate the colour of my bag to my outfit. But this bag is an exception! With the bow, it's smokin' and just so ME! Get this for $1,195 via Saks .

Valentino Braided Handle Bag |

I know that this bag has been around since the beginning of 2007. Like Valentino's signature showstopper and showcloser for all their couture runway shows (Yes, I'm speaking about the signature Red Dress), the first time this handbag was released, it was in (yup, you guessed it!) Red as well! I kinda liked this bag in Red, but it was a tad too loud for me. Everytime I see this bag, I look at it because I really like the design (I've never been a fan of multipockets but I guess this one is an exception), but decide otherwise because well, it's too Red Hot for me. BUT when I laid my eyes upon the same bag, but in Pastel Pink, I was smitten! Unlike the Red which gives off a very fierce, almost urban femme fatale sorta bag, the one in pink is sooo sweet and innocent, it's the ultimate girlie bag for the urban girlie girl. It's femininity personified! If you're as smitten as I am, Get this bag for $1695, and the Red one for $1595 via Bergdorf Goodman
