I've always been a fan of Chloe bags as the brand's designs never fail to disappoint, or perhaps cos' they're just so me!. This season, the 'Paraty' (below) is the new addition to the line of Chloe's ever-expanding icons. Today's Splurge of the Week is the Python version of the Paraty...

You might recognise this bag from one of Chloe's Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaigns (shown above). As we all know, some bags that we see in stores are not sold online. I was searching high and low for this bag so that I can share it with all you BagAddicts out there. Alas, I finally managed to locate this Python leather version. The lambskin versions are imho, a tad boring. This version, on the other hand, is so chic and stylish, perhaps due to the embossed python leather that gives the bag added texture and an edgy appeal. It's black so you can wear it with practically anything! Plus, like most bags out there nowadays, it comes with a detachable shoulder strap for carrying on the shoulder.
I'm a firm believer in having only ONE black bag that you can wear to death, so at £1,873.83 / $3820, it's definitely worth the investment! Get this via Net-a-Porter or Saks today!

Splurge of the Week! |
It's been awhile since we've posted something from Valentino. So, as today's Splurge, we're featuring the new Noeud Tote.
Upon first glance, this bag seems to be made of nylon, but looks can be deceiving because this "Noeud" tote is actually made of buttery-soft nappa leather. Plus, it's a no-brainer that Valentino doesn't do bags in nylon. As proof of its suppleness, only the softest and most supple leather can be turned into a layered or tiered effect with a stitched bow detailing. As with most bags these days, this Noeud Tote comes with a detachable shoulder strap so that you have the option of carrying it on the shoulder or cross-body style. Get this bag for $3,495 via Saks

Love It Or Hate It: Splurge of the Week! |
This week, we feature the new Took Tote Media by Tod's - a smooth grained leather tote with aged gold metal hardware and logo-engraved studs throughout the bag. This Italian-made tote also doubles as a sling and opens up with the push-lock closure to two interior compartments and a leather-trimmed zip pocket. What's more, the buckle frame top allows adjusting of bag capacity.
Sounds good? Sounds very luxurious isn't it? But of course it has to be.. It's on our Splurge of the Week with a whopping $2,165.00 price tag to it. But if you take notice.. it's also listed on our Love It or Hate It. Must be wondering why huh? Sounds perfect doesn't it? Can't imagine why I'm saying it? You're still liking it, aren't you? Well, scroll down to the picture and tell me what you think again after seeing it..
Tod's New Took Tote Media
Well, what do you think now? The description sounded perfect, doesn't it? Well, unfortunately the visual part doesn't quite do the trick. It's small, it's old fashioned and nothing spectacular, wouldn't you say?

Splurge of the Week! |

This week's Splurge of the Week is the vintage-looking F3 Secret Code Bag by Fendi. This Secret Code bag exudes an old world charm, reminding me of the bags of the pre-Second World War era. Making its first appearance in Fendi's Spring/Summer collection this year, this Secret Code is back this season, in different textures and materials. Today's featured pick is made of mouse karung leather with semi-precious stones and large topstitch detailing. Most F3 Secret Code bags come with a shoulder strap so that it can be worn cross-body messenger style. If this appeals to you, it retails for £1,685.10 via Net-a-Porter .

New addition to Balenciaga family |

The "Motorcycle", the "Twiggy", the "Brief", are all Balenciaga bags that we have become familiar with and accustomed to. Despite the fashion industry being incredibly unforgiving, these "It" bags have survived, and weathered the seasons - "It" bags survive for a few seasons, but these bags have stood the test of time, achieving a somewhat cult status in the fashion world. And now, the latest addition to this ever-expanding cult brand's collection is the new "Pom Pon" bag.
Pictured above is the Arena Giant Covered Pom Pon bag in white, with white hardware and studded details. The white on white hardware definitely gives the bag a minimalist appeal. If you want something that says 'understated chic' then this would be it. Made of wrinkled distressed lambskin with drawstring closure, it comes with a removable shoulder strap. If white isn't your colour, this bag is also available in Red, Dark Green, and Black. Retails for $1,895 at Barneys New York

A purple nappa leather duffel, the bag's focus is on the ruched body with the rosette detail. A trend now with the Valentino label, you'll find the Valentino Jardin Rose Framed Duffel now joins an ever growing 3-D flower collection. But of course, after comparing with the rest, there is nothing that can compared with the one we're featuring today. In conjunction with Fendi's 10th Anniversary for the iconic Baguette bag, this fashion house has come up with a white coated canvas Bagutte that you can design yourself! The initial intention of this DIY Baguette was the competition that Fendi held, that was open to everyone in the Asia Pacific Region and Celebrity designed Baguettes. Due to overwhelming response, it's also now available in stores. So, if you've always wanted your own personalised Baguette, here's your chance! It comes with 10 Pantone Universe markers for you to decorate your bag with, and paint whatever you desire on your very own personalised Baguette. Bargain of the Week! |

Li'l Porcupines Wristlet/Purse
This week's Bargain of the Week is this adorable wristlet by Kookii:Kooky. Choose between red or green polka dotted trimmings and accents. What's more, each bag comes with a ribbon strap that you can either use as a handle or if you choose to use it as a clutch, then you can do without the ribbon. The litle porcupine and flower prints makes this a fun lil' bag to play around with. It's definitely something you can use to liven up your outfit. If you don't want to use it as a wrislet or clutch, you could also use this bag as a purse or pouch to hold and organise your stuff, especially in those big and oversized bags so you don't have to rummage relentlessly to find what you're looking for. Bagaholic Babe knows all too well how much of a hassle that can be! To get this for just $28, Click Here!

New Prada Tessuto Gauffre Bow Tote |
Bagaholic Babe has always been a fan of the Tessuto Gauffre range by Prada. If you're not exactly sure about what I'm talking about, it's the ruched range in nylon, that was launched in 2007, right after the nappa gauffre range. Because of its popularity, what was initially intended to be a seasonal collection has now become very much a part of Prada's classic collections that appear every season. The only difference? The colours and minor details on the bag but keeping the general ruched look of the bag. So yes, anything 'gauffre' means ruched, in Prada terms. Take a look at this beauty below.
Prada Tessuto Gauffre Bow Tote
If you're an avid Prada fan like myself, you'd notice that the theme for Prada this year (as seen in their Spring/Summer 2008 Collections) and now in their Fall/Winter Collections are rosette details or bow details on the bag. Keeping to their 'bow' detail theme, the Tessuto Gauffre Tote now comes with a small bow detail in leather, thus adding a more feminine touch to the bag, compared to other bags from their Tessuto Gauffre range that have a more casual look to it. Similarly, like all Tessuto Gauffre bags, this top handle tote comes with a detachable leather shoulder strap. A noticeable difference is the PRICE of this bag, which is much cheaper than bags from the Tessuto Gauffre range. This Bow tote is a steal at just $720! It's available in Pink (shown) and Black, via Saks

New Louis Vuitton Tahitienne Bag |

LV Tahitienne in Green and Teal Monogram
LV Tahitienne in Beige and Taupe Monogram
LV Tahitienne in Pink and Grey Monogram
LV Tahitienne in Lilac and Lavender Monogram
Inspired by the cover of a catalogue in 1924, this new 'Tahitienne' Range comes in 3 sizes, Small, Medium and Large. This day bag is convertible in shape, thanks to the hook closure. Seen above is how it looks when 'hooked' up. If you want to do without the hooked look, just snap the hook open and you have a rectangular boat-shaped sort of look. Similar to the stain-treated canvas used on Louis Vuitton's 'Antigua' range of bags, this 'painted' oversized monogrammed look gives the bag an artsy feel to it. I've personally seen the bag and felt its texture, and let's just say the pictures above don't do the bag justice -- it's much prettier when you actually tote it on your shoulder! Available in 4 colours (as shown above) - Green with Teal, Lilac with Lavender, Pink with Grey and Beige with Taupe; the small retails for $1,040 (or RM3900), the Large for $1200 (or RM4000++). As for the medium size, I'm not sure of the price. Bagaholic Babe loves the one in Pink, much sweeter! But if you really want a colour that stands out, then the one in Lilac is sure to do that. Beige is more understated whilst the Green is well, erm.. let's just say it's not Bagaholic Babe's cuppa tea.

Splurge of the Week |
This week's Splurge of the Week features a new bag from Gucci's Spring/Summer 2008 Collection. I'm usually not so much of a Gucci fan, but this one's a whole different story. This bag is Very Un-Gucci-esque in the sense of its unstructured, rather slouchy shape.
Presenting to you, today's Splurge, the 'Hysteria' Python Bag from Gucci's Spring/Summer 2008 Collection.
Hysteria Python Bag (Medium Size)
This medium sized top handled bag comes in black python with a detachable shoulder strap so that you can wear it crossbody style should you get tired of lugging your stuff in your arm. Well, crossbody is definitely more convenient, especially when you need both hands free to do your shopping, but Bagaholic Babe is more of a 'arm' style kinda gal.
However, this item is not available in California due to state laws on python products. If you don't like this bag in Python, and for those of you residing in California, this Hysteria Bag in Medium size also comes in Black patent. Actually, I much prefer the one in Patent, but I thought I'd feature the one in Python since it's our regular 'Splurge' of the Week post as the Patent doesn't really warrant itself as a 'splurge' per se. If you like this bag, it's available via Saks for $3,990. The Patent one is going for $1,790. Click Here to view the Patent Version of the Hysteria Bag by Gucci.

Bargain of the Week! |
This Week's Bargain of the Week is in Bagaholic Babe's opinion, inspired by Marc Jacobs past collection, which featured Dakota Fanning in MJ's ad campaign. I'm sure my fellow BagAddicts would rememeber Dakota Fanning in one of the ad campaign photos where she was carrying a oversized rhinestone encrusted metallic tote. So, when Bagaholic Babe saw this, it reminded me of the Marc Jacobs rhinestone collection of season past. Take a look below and you'll see what I mean...
This metallic fuschia clutch is embellished with oversized rhinestones (ala Marc Jacobs) at the top. Just clip on the removable woven chain link strap and use it as a wristlet. It's on sale now, for just $14.99 (regular price $19.99). Get it Here!

Jimmy Choo Pony Clutch |
I know that only just a few days ago, we featured a Jimmy Choo Zebra Print Clutch from the Resort/Cruise Collection 2008. And now, just a few days later, it's yet another Jimmy Choo Zebra Wristlet cum clutch. I know that similar as they may sound, they have a very different look and vibe.
Jimmy Choo 'Marin' Pony Clutch
Bagaholic Babe just had to feature this clutch on the blog because, besides being the Animal Print junkie that I am, I fell in love with the clutch the moment I saw the Jimmy Choo ad in which this particular clutch was featured. Plus, I've always liked this particular style and design of this Jimmy Choo wristlet be it in leather, suede or Animal prints. I just love the foldover and zippered look!! Made of made of zebra printed Pony Hair with watersnake trims and zippered details, this 'Marin' clutch by Jimmy Choo can either be worn as a clutch or as a wristlet. Jimmy Choo Zebra-Print Clutch
From Jimmy Choo's 2008 Resort Collection, this Zebra Print Clutch will make you stand out in a crowd, especially in a sea of Nautical and Marine-esque bags and accessories during the Resort/Cruise season seeing as we don't really see animal prints in resort collections. Should you need your hands free, just clip on the chain link strap and you're good to go! The bonus is that this Jimmy Choo Zebra Print Clutch can take you from day to night! How often do we get bags that are designed for both day and evening use?

Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Miss Marc' Oversized Tote |
For seasons past, the caricature seen on Marc by Marc Jacobs bags was the very scary looking voodoo doll-like 'Katie'. For this Fall/Winter season, the new caricature that adorns Marc by Marc Jacobs bags is the very cutesy-looking 'Miss Marc'. As this bag is from the Fall/Winter Collection, 'Miss Marc' sports a snowflake shirt. I must say that I've seen the actual bag, and the pictures below don't do the bag much justice at all because it's so much cuter than the photos foretell.

'Miss' Marc Oversized PolkaDot Tote - Interior View
Made of canvas and fastened with a magnetic snap closure, this oversized polkadotted tote has bow-detailed knotted handles that add to the bag's already cutesy look. You'll be glad to know that this bag can be worn in 3 ways! Apart from the square tote above, the sides of the bag can be folded in so that you have a more triangular sorta look that would resemble the shape of Fendi's Bag De Jour. In addition to that, this bag is also reversible. When reversed, the outer side will sport Marc by Marc Jacobs signature logo print (as above). Hm, this bag may seem like a overly huge day bag, but it looks good on the shoulder! Plus, it's great for travelling! This Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Miss Marc' Polkadot Oversized Tote comes with a very affordable pricetag - just £112.34! Available via Net-a-Porter.
In fact, Bagaholic Babe is thinking of getting one!! It's just way too cute to resist..It's available in Malaysia at Isetan@ The Gardens, MidValley for RM899 and there was only one piece available! Hopefully it's not gone by the time I go there...

Alice Temperley Studded Evening Bag |
I am sooo in love with this Studded Evening Bag by Alice Temperley! Temperley's RTW stuff are very Romantic and Vintage-looking, so I couldn't believe that she actually came up with this jewel that looks a little edgy and Rock 'n' Roll! (Oh for those of you who aren't familiar with this designer/brand, Alice Temperley is a Brit designer). I simply adore the bright Fuschia suede and the oversized studs, I love! It's not often that you see an Evening bag this interesting. Oh yes, this is from Temperley's Fall/Winter 2007 collection. Yep, this F/W season, it's all about Bright Eye-Popping Colours!
Made of fuschia Suede, and leather panels with studded details, this bag comes with a detachable chain strap so you can carry it as a clutch or sling over the shoulder. Amidst the sea of conventional and predictable Evening Bags and miniaudieres, this will definitely get you noticed... Plus, it'd be a great conversation starter! Get this via Net-a-Porter for £374.47. Simply fabulous!!

New -- Louis Vuitton Neo Cabby Tote |
Here's the latest addition to Louis Vuitton's Monogram Denim Family - the Neo Cabby Tote.
Available in Black or Blue Denim (both shown below), this Neo Cabbby Tote comes in 2 sizes - the Medium (MM), which is big enough to hold your A4 officedocuments and the Large (GM). You can wear this bag in 3 ways - hold is as a Tote, as a Shoulder Bag or just latch on the removable adjustable strap and wear it cross-body. So there ya go, 3 looks for the price of 1!
Neo Cabby Tote MM - Black Denim
Neo Cabby Tote MM - Blue Denim
Neo Cabby - Detail Closeup
Usually, I prefer the Blue Denim, but this bag somehow looks better in Black Denim. Personally, imho, to date, this is the best looking bag from the Monogram Denim Collection (but of course not the Denim Cruise Collection - now that I absolutely love! The stripes with the stamped LV Trunks and Bags logo is just To die for!) Too bad the Denim Cruise is a seasonal collection...ah wells.
