Made of Creased Black Patent Leather, The new Besonville Piccola Bag by Tod's reminds Bagaholic Babe of another Tods Bag - the 'Carey', albeit without the belt buckle detail. I love the high-sheen and high-gloss look on patent bags, but unfortunately, it isn't suitable to Tropical Climate Asian weather, and will probably crack in these humid conditions as a result. Samourai 1947 Woven Frame Bag

BagAddicts, for those of you who follow my posts regularly, you know that I've been raving about his Dior Samourai 1947 Woven Frame Bag since Dior's F/W showing Fashion Week Coverage. With basketwoven leather with twisted trimmings and embellished with a tortoiseshell frame, this 1947 Samourai Frame Bag exudes Old World Vintage Charm of yesteryear.

Dior Jeanne Small Hobo

We all remember Dior's Joan of Arc inspired 'Jeanne' Bag that was brought to our attention during the Spring/Summer '07 showings at Fashion Week. Yes, the very one that I couldn't stop raving about. As if we could forget that bag? It's now plastered on most of Dior's Ad Campaigns (aside from the Dior Cannage Collection). Also from the 'Jeanne' collection, is this comparatively 'toned-down', more subdued hobo bag, with the same chainmail-detail closures as the other Jeanne bags.

Celine Tiger Boogie

Celine's 'It' Bag, the 'Boogie' Bag, that has been seen on celebs' arms (such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Madonna, Gwyneth Paltrow, etc) has been given a facelift! Since its launch, the Boogie has been available various versions: Studded, Suede, Classic Calfskin, Logo Denim, Zippered, etc. However, I do believe that it's the first time the Boogie is seen in Animal Prints, and this season, it's the Tiger Print Hair Calf with Leather trims and studded details. So if you're an Animal Print fan, I'm sure you'll adore this bag for tiger prints on bags ain't that common compared to the Leopard, Cheetah and Zebra prints! Splurge of the Week!

We all know that Nancy Gonzalez specialises in Croc and Alligator bags. But, I haven't seen a Ruched Alligator or Croc Tote, because as I can imagine, it must be pretty tough to achieve the Ruched look for such a tough exotic skin. And because of that, this, the Ruched Crocodile Satchel by Nancy Gonzalez get's picked as this week's Splurge of the Week! Very rarely do I favour Nancy Gonzalez's bags, because they look too structured for my liking, but this one looks so feminine and classy! The woven detail on the straps blends in well with the drawstring sides on the bag. Bagaholic Babe is loving the bag in Cream Caiman Fuscus Crocodile(shown). Presenting: Fendi's Fall Trunk Show F/W '07

Presenting: Fendi's Fall/Winter Trunk Show 2007


Here are some of the bags from Fendi's Fall/Winter 2007 Trunk Show. I've only chosen a few bags from the F/W '07 Collection to write about, mainly the new shapes and designs that are new to the House of Fendi. Of course, there are the regular Classic Fendi Bags, such as the Chef bag in Patent Leather, etc, but I've left these out because they are not new shapes. The bags pictured here are slightly more innovative - channelling the edgy, Deconstructed vibe. Most of the bags can be converted into clutches for the evening, however, Imho, the bags from this collection aren't necessarily fantastic looking.

First up, the the Raddica Boston Bag


Following in the footsteps of Louis Vuitton, this F/W '07 Season sees Fendi experimenting with the Patchwork style. Utilising its signature printed Zucca jacquard canvas and a super-sized logo jacquard canvas with brown vinyl trimmings, there's only one word to describe its look: Deconstructed. Pre-Order this bag for $1595 via Neiman Marcus.


Next, we have the Convertible Zucca Bag



Similar to the Raddica Boston Bag above, this Convertible Zucca Bag is also in the patchwork style, using a combination of the Zucca Jacquard, the super-size logo Jacquard Canvas and Brown Vinyl trimmings. The bag converts into a flap clutch (shown below)

Remember the Woven Crossword Tote from Fendi's Spring/Summer 2007 Collection? Well for this Fall/Winter season, the Woven Tote now comes in Super-sized Zucca Jacquard. Well, I've never really been a fan of this Woven-styled tote (ok, in fact, not at all), but compared to those from this year's Spring/Summer Collection, if I absolutely had to pick which one I like best, then I guess it'll have to be this one. Get this for $1,470 via Neiman Marcus.





This 'To You' purse is Similar in style to the Convertible Zucca Bag above, minus the deconstructed patchwork. This 'To You' purse is a combination of taupe suede and leather, with tortoiseshell trimmings. Below is how the bag looks when it's folded over into a clutch.

Also from the 'To You' Collection, this Convertible bag is available in Ivory (shown) Multicolour (shown) and Black. I'd say the Multicolour 'To You' Purse is the probably the only bag I like from Fendi's F/W '07, and coming from a Fendiholic herself.. I've been raving about this Multicolour 'To You' Bag since I saw it at Fendi's lacklustre F/W '07 Showing at Fashion Week. It's finally available!! Whoopee! Get this for $1300 via Neiman Marcus.




Last but not least, the Shearling Shopping Chef Bag. For, what F/W collection would ever be complete without something in Shearling? Besides fur, Shearling is the other must-have in every F/W Collection. This F/W, Fendi's Classic 'Chef' Bag is made of Ivory knit and given a Shearling coat, trimmed with dark brown leather and brown beading details. Like all Fendi Chef Bags, this Shearling Chef has Fendi's cutout logo charm. This is called a 'Shopping Chef' Bag because unlike Fendi's signature Chef bags with flap top closures, this particular one is open-topped. Pre-Order this seasonal bag for a hefty $5,040 from Neiman Marcus. In stores in late October.

Cork Handbag by Vivre Designs

I thought this bag deserved to be featured because I've never seen a bag made of cork before...Cork on wedges and shoes yes, but never on a handbag. Well, if there is, I've never seen one before prior to this bag. Even if there were cork bags around, it ain't very common. So based on uniqueness alone, this bag deserves airtime. New Addition to the YSL Bag Family

The Uptown Bag (Small) is yet another addition to the YSL Bag Family. Made of patent leather with metal frame and gold tone hardware details and lined in luscious satin, it also has the turnlock closure on its predecessor, the 'Muse' (which has reached its 'It' Bag status that boasts a cult following, especially in the celebrity circuit). However, Bagaholic Babe prefers the Rive Gauche Bag to this Uptown Bag and even to the Muse. Imho, the Muse and this Uptown Bag looks as if it's for a slightly more mature age group. But then again, some friends of mine prefer mature-looking bags. Ah well *shrugs*. If this is your cuppa' tea, it's available for $1,895.00 via Saks

Presenting: Chanel Resort 2008 Pre-Collection

The Resort Collections for 2008 are here, and today, I present to you Chanel's Resort 2008 Pre-Collection. Judging from the quilted bags that glisten down the runway, the Metallic trend and oversized bag trend from this season will be spilling over into 2008 as well, so don't throw away those just yet! However, it came to my attention that the bags of the non-metallic sort are in more neutral hues this season, instead of Chanel's usual brights (fuschia, turquoise, etc) and funky artsy bags that are seen in their previous collections. Sorry, I don't have detailed closeups of the bags though!
