Marc by Marc Jacobs 'Locket Pocket - Big Collapsible Tote'
The Locket Pocket canvas tote caught my eye the other day even as I was browsing the net. The bright colors caught my eye at a first glance and if you look at it more, the white patches somehow look like clouds, don't you think?
I suppose, when I look at a bag, I not only taking into account the uniqueness of the bag (I'll come back to this in a sec) but also the durability and usefulness. Afterall, I'm not about to splurge on something I'll never use. But I'll have you know firsthand that this beauty is fairly priced.
A big canvas tote, you're not going to have to worry about its durability or capacity. It's definitely going to be easy to maintain yet carry everything you need with you wherever you go. What's more, it comes with a leather flap (on the side) secured by the MJ signature turnlock on the side which helps fold up and pack away the tote when not used. Definitely a travel necessity!

Even as Valentine's Day is Approaching.. |
Valentine's Day is not too far off and if you were to drop by at any mall today, you'll see that retailers have started banking in sales with everything pink and pretty with banners on the shop front saying 'Valentine's Day Special.'
In conjunction with the much celebrated occasion, we've started posting on 'Valentine's Day Recommendations' and here we are again with another suggestion.
Juicy Couture 'Daydreamer' Heart Medallion Bag
Today, we give you the 'Daydreamer' Heart Medallion Bag by Juicy Couture. I know what's going through your mind.. You're likely to be saying this.. "Not another pink one!" but you know what, Valentine's Day wouldn't be Valentine's Day if things weren't pretty, pink and sweet. At least for me, it wouldn't be.
A canvas piece with gleaming logo charms dangling on the front, you'll find the bag uses a drawstring and magnetic tab closure. Accompanying it is an exterior ID window and gathered side pockets for extra storage - not forgetting the sweet logo-print lining on the inside.
And for a price of only $228.00, the item can now be yours via Nordstrom

New Limited Edition LV Speedy |
Louis Vuitton Monogram Roses Speedy 30
Check out the new limited edition speedy inspired by the late American artist Stephen Spourse - who also colloborated with Marc Jacobs and Louis Vuitton to create the Monogram Graffiti.
The new Monogram Roses (as the name suggests) is a flourescent rose pattern screen printed onto the canvas through 15 frames to create an essence of Sprouse's style of brush painting on the canvas Speedy 30. The trim is made of natural cowhide and comes with round leather handles with link attachments and golden brass hardware. As with other Speedy bags, the new Monogram Roses Speedy 30 has a zip top closure with padlock and pink striped textile lining with an interior flat pocket.
Definitely something out of the extraordinary but it kinda reminds me of the Gucci tattoo that appears on most of their new collection, don't you think? Anyway, I'm not a person for roses so that's one thing off my Wish List.
FYI, the Monogram Roses Speedy 30 is available via eLuxury for a price of $1,310.00

Bargain of the Week! |
Everyone began scrambling onto the Eco bandwagon (and some still are) since Anya Hindmarch created a fashion frenzy and kicked up a storm with "I'm Not a Plastic Bag". And since it is rumoured that plastic bags will be banned in Malaysia in 2009, this week's Bargain of the Week is an eco-friendly tote, that you can chuck your groceries in when plastic bags cease to exist.
This bag makes its enviro-friendly stand loudly and clearly with "Green is the New Black" emblazoned in caps on the front of the bag. Except for the lack of knotted and woven straps, this bag is definitely designed in the style of Anya Hindmarch's "Plastic Bag". Made of 100% organic cotton with a magnetic snap closure, this bag is available for purchase at $58 from Nordstrom

Good news babes!
If you're an avid LV fan, check out the new limited edition Galliera Riviera. Made from high quality cotton canvas with smooth leather trim and piping, the beautiful design on the front pays homage to the beautiful French Riviera (or Côte d'Azur)- one of the most famous resort locales in the world, which extends along the Mediterranean Sea and includes the cities of Monaco, Nice, and Cannes. Unlike their previous creations, the beautiful illustrations on the Galliera Riviera is created through the application of 15 separate layers of colors. Amazing, isn't it?

Burberry Prorsum S/S '09 |
On Burberry Prorsum this Spring..
A collection inspired by Christopher Bailey's very own garden in Yorkshire as well as a book on eccentric Brits by Thames and Hudson called the 'Garden People'. Absolutely everything, including shoppers, shoulder bags and clutches have a hint of of mud covering them. As such, tints of ochers, browns and mossy greens have been introduced into the fabrics and leather to look as if its been in the rain.
Take a look for yourself!
The canvas bags below help give one a rugged look.. Looks good but it looks as if it could hurt brushing against the skin.

I'm absolutely in love with this exotic leather pieace below. Extremely soft, with different shades of brown treated on the leather to give it a real summery feel!

Another one of my favorites from the collection.. Very unique detailing all round the bag. The color's rarely seen as well. Think they'd look really good with jeans. I know some of you may think they look like fish scales and I do quite agree. But after seeing it a few times, it gets more soothing to the eye. I think this is one of those where 'the more you see, the more you love it!'

And for clutches, they've got..

What's with this clutch anyway? It certainly doesn't go with any evening wear! I can't imagine using it during the day either. Imagine going shopping with it. A terrible no no!

Mulberry Takes On The Tote |

Tote bags have long provided a portable canvas for art masterpiece lookalikes. But leave it to Mulberry to consign wan reproductions to museum gift shops and make the bags themselves into works of art worthy of display in its New Bond Street flagship store windows. By teaming up with London’s tastemaker FRED gallery, Mulberry has, er, bagged artists Peter Jones (pictured), Kate Davis, Simon English, and Paul Hosking for exclusive limited-edition totes. English, whose saucy, pink-patterned “Maxim-meow” bag will be showcased at Mulberry from today, designed his tote as a an homage to Daphne du Maurier’s gothic romance Rebecca. “I always thought of Mulberry as being synonymous with the nautical headscarves sported in the shires of my youth,” he confessed. “I am clearly wrong. The Mulberry of today is very different.” And thanks to Mulberry and FRED, so is the tote.

New Louis Vuitton Monogramouflage Collection |
Presenting: Vuitton's Limited Edition Monogramouflage Collection by Takashi Murakami
Here's yet another collaboration with Marc Jacobs with the House of Vuitton and Japanese pop artist, Takashi Murakami. The new addition to the ever-growing range of Vuitton monogram bags, this Monogramouflage collection was specially created for the Murakami Exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum in New York. Launched at this very exhibition on June 1st, it is now available online and at select Louis Vuitton boutiques worldwide.
As you can probably tell from the name of the collection itself, the Monogramouflage is a combination of Vuitton's signature monogram and army-esque camouflage design. This is probably one of the bigger Murakami Limited Editions out there. This Monogramouflage Collection consists of an accessories line, a travel line and a handbags line. Actually, when you look at the photos below, you'd notice that this collection is mainly for travel.
The Travel Bags
Pegase 60
Speedy 35 (there's also the Keepall 55 which is a hugggeee version of this speedy)
Passport Cover
The Bags and an accessory
Jasmine
Lys
Treillis
iPhone Case
The Verdict: Well my dear Bagaddicts. I don't know about you ladies out there, but Bagaholic Babe doesn't really like this Limited Edition collection. I've always fancied those cutesy Murakami cartoonesque and cutesy designs like the Panda, the Cherry, the Sakura and the Mushroom, but this one is too rugged for my liking. And I'm not a camo fan, so needless to say, this really ain't my thing.

Bargain of the Week! |

Gustto Estiva Shopper
This week's Bargain of the Week is the Estiva Shopper from Gustto. Made of canvas with metallic leather trims and studded details on the flap, Bagaholic Babe just loves the colour combination of this bag! I also love the top bit of the bag where one is supposed to put their arm through. Such a unique shape! Usually when people mention shoppers, there's usually a standard look - a rectangular tote with long-ish shoulder straps so that your arm rests comfortably. This Gustto shopper is rather unorthodox looking. The studded details add just the right amount of the chic factor to the bag. Get this shopper now, at a discounted price of $180 (original price was $360). If you're not loving it in canvas, it's also available in leather. Hop on over to ShopBop today before the sale ends!

Presenting: Chanel Cruise Collection 2009 |
Presenting: Chanel's Cruise Collection 2009
For the Cruise Collection 2009, the theme seems to be stripes and different shades of blue, as observed from their Pret-a-Porter (or Ready to Wear collection). The showing for this Cruise Collection took place at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami, Florida, on a beautiful and unusually shaped runway right in the middle of the pool, symbolising the 'water' element that was evidently an inspiration in the RTW collection's shades of blue.

Patent Heart Logo Bag
Chanel Canvas 2.55 with Stripes
(Sorry for the lack of images, as these were the only ones of bags that I was able to find that featured bags).
Well, I can't really comment much on this collection as far as the bags go, but based on these 2 pictures here's what I think...
The Verdict: Chanel Cruise Collections are usually vibrant and artsy with bold prints. In short, they are bags with their own personality. This time around however, it looks a tad boring unlike the Chanel Cruise Collections that I'm used to seeing. The first bag looks a little Moschino-esque and dare I say, cheap looking. The striped 2.55, well, let's just say I've seen better. Unfortunately, judging from the 2 bags above, this collection is a let-down.
