Chanel Does Nationalistic Pride for Spring-Summer 2007!

Chanel Spring-Summer 2007
(L-R) Perforated Aged Calfskin Zipped Shopping Bag in Purple, Perforated Lambskin iPod Holder, Perforated Lambskin Classic Flap Bag (2.55), Tri-Coloured Perforated Lambskin Double Flap Bag

These babies are from Chanel's Spring-Summer 2007 Collection. I don't know about you BagAddicts, but I'm not loving it. It's not that I don't love Coloured and Multicoloured bags. Those of you who are regular readers of Bagaholic Babe's posts know that I love whimsical designs, prints and bright colours, especially Fuschia. This however, is not my cuppa tea. The usually very classy and timeless 2.55 doesn't look good in Fire Engine Red above. Pastels, Bright Colours and Metallics, whether in signature Lambskin or Cotton Canvas have done the 2.55 More justice in the past collections.

And... for the tri-coloured 2.55 on the right, just flip it on its left side and there you have it - the 'Tricolore', also known as the French National Flag.

Textured, Chanel and made of perforated leather it may be, but its the 'Tricolore' all right, and the colours are in the right order too (Blue, White and Red)! Hmm..maybe this is Chanel's way of asserting and re-affirming its nationalistic pride?

Bags are available at your nearest Chanel Store or visit Chanel.com to view the entire Spring-Summer Collection 2007
