I've always been a fan of Chloe bags as the brand's designs never fail to disappoint, or perhaps cos' they're just so me!. This season, the 'Paraty' (below) is the new addition to the line of Chloe's ever-expanding icons. Today's Splurge of the Week is the Python version of the Paraty...

You might recognise this bag from one of Chloe's Spring/Summer 2009 ad campaigns (shown above). As we all know, some bags that we see in stores are not sold online. I was searching high and low for this bag so that I can share it with all you BagAddicts out there. Alas, I finally managed to locate this Python leather version. The lambskin versions are imho, a tad boring. This version, on the other hand, is so chic and stylish, perhaps due to the embossed python leather that gives the bag added texture and an edgy appeal. It's black so you can wear it with practically anything! Plus, like most bags out there nowadays, it comes with a detachable shoulder strap for carrying on the shoulder.
I'm a firm believer in having only ONE black bag that you can wear to death, so at £1,873.83 / $3820, it's definitely worth the investment! Get this via Net-a-Porter or Saks today!

Splurge of the Week! |
It's been awhile since we've posted something from Valentino. So, as today's Splurge, we're featuring the new Noeud Tote.
Upon first glance, this bag seems to be made of nylon, but looks can be deceiving because this "Noeud" tote is actually made of buttery-soft nappa leather. Plus, it's a no-brainer that Valentino doesn't do bags in nylon. As proof of its suppleness, only the softest and most supple leather can be turned into a layered or tiered effect with a stitched bow detailing. As with most bags these days, this Noeud Tote comes with a detachable shoulder strap so that you have the option of carrying it on the shoulder or cross-body style. Get this bag for $3,495 via Saks

Love It Or Hate It: Splurge of the Week! |
This week, we feature the new Took Tote Media by Tod's - a smooth grained leather tote with aged gold metal hardware and logo-engraved studs throughout the bag. This Italian-made tote also doubles as a sling and opens up with the push-lock closure to two interior compartments and a leather-trimmed zip pocket. What's more, the buckle frame top allows adjusting of bag capacity.
Sounds good? Sounds very luxurious isn't it? But of course it has to be.. It's on our Splurge of the Week with a whopping $2,165.00 price tag to it. But if you take notice.. it's also listed on our Love It or Hate It. Must be wondering why huh? Sounds perfect doesn't it? Can't imagine why I'm saying it? You're still liking it, aren't you? Well, scroll down to the picture and tell me what you think again after seeing it..
Tod's New Took Tote Media
Well, what do you think now? The description sounded perfect, doesn't it? Well, unfortunately the visual part doesn't quite do the trick. It's small, it's old fashioned and nothing spectacular, wouldn't you say?

Splurge of the Week! |

This week's Splurge of the Week is the vintage-looking F3 Secret Code Bag by Fendi. This Secret Code bag exudes an old world charm, reminding me of the bags of the pre-Second World War era. Making its first appearance in Fendi's Spring/Summer collection this year, this Secret Code is back this season, in different textures and materials. Today's featured pick is made of mouse karung leather with semi-precious stones and large topstitch detailing. Most F3 Secret Code bags come with a shoulder strap so that it can be worn cross-body messenger style. If this appeals to you, it retails for £1,685.10 via Net-a-Porter .

New addition to Balenciaga family |

The "Motorcycle", the "Twiggy", the "Brief", are all Balenciaga bags that we have become familiar with and accustomed to. Despite the fashion industry being incredibly unforgiving, these "It" bags have survived, and weathered the seasons - "It" bags survive for a few seasons, but these bags have stood the test of time, achieving a somewhat cult status in the fashion world. And now, the latest addition to this ever-expanding cult brand's collection is the new "Pom Pon" bag.
Pictured above is the Arena Giant Covered Pom Pon bag in white, with white hardware and studded details. The white on white hardware definitely gives the bag a minimalist appeal. If you want something that says 'understated chic' then this would be it. Made of wrinkled distressed lambskin with drawstring closure, it comes with a removable shoulder strap. If white isn't your colour, this bag is also available in Red, Dark Green, and Black. Retails for $1,895 at Barneys New York
